Atelerix albiventris or Hedgehogs as you probably know them, which there are 17 types of hedgehogs. They also have 6,000 quills on there back. They are 7-9 inches long, and weigh 600 grams, how small is that. Imagine having something that small in your palm. I think we are saving hedgehogs because in the wild they live to 3-4 years, and in captivity they live to 11 years.
